Custom Interior Design Services for New Build and Furniture / Styling
DESIGN BRIEF:
Creating a relaxing farmhouse weekender was the brief from our client. The design was to be modern and industrial and flow through from the material selection and beyond to furniture and styling. The layout needed to be practical but also an entertainers dream where they could stay as a family or invite guests to stay at the property and entertain in several areas of the home. A key consideration was to maximise the unrivalled views that the property has to offer.
OUTCOME:
We couldn’t be more thrilled with the Contemporary Australian Farmhouse we have designed for our clients. The perfect escape to enjoy, unwind and take in the stunning scenery and views from all areas of the home. We maximised the floor plan and window layout with the farmhouses elevations to achieve this. We designed the kitchen and bathrooms to incorporate functional elements and textured materials while considering the architectural design. The furniture, window treatments and styling compliment the material selections and continue the colour palette and theme of raw and organic materials and fabrics.

We engaged Kristie and the Colorcube team very early on to design our “modern industrial farmhouse”. This early engagement was definitely the way to go as she immersed herself in our design from the outset and it allowed us to incorporate features into the home before we commenced construction. Colorcube were responsible for our floor plan, cabinet designs, kitchen and bathroom layouts as well as all selections of tiles, paint colours, floor coverings, window treatments and all other elements. Furniture design, selections and manufacturing were also taken care of along with our final home styling. All the subcontractors engaged by Colorcube were of the highest standard and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending all of them. Throughout the process Kristie listened to our wishes and came up with several options around design and budget at every stage. We would never have found the same products nor achieved the same fantastic outcome had we taken on the design ourselves. We probably would’ve made ‘safer’ choices and the end result would’ve lacked the wow factor it now has. With our dream farmhouse now complete we are thrilled that we engaged Kristie and her team as we have a home that epitomises our initial brief and we still feel that wow factor every time we walk through the door!
