DESIGN BRIEF:
Our clients envisioned a considered transformation of their home – one that would beautifully support both family life and effortless entertaining. It was essential to honour the architectural character of the original 1980s Mediterranean brick residence, while preserving its generous proportions and sense of openness.
At the heart of the brief was the kitchen and adjoining formal dining space: a warm, inviting hub where family and friends could gather, cook, and connect with ease.
OUTCOME:
This modern Mediterranean residence has undergone a remarkable renovation, emerging as the ultimate home for sophisticated entertaining. A grand new kitchen was thoughtfully designed with multiple functional zones, allowing for simultaneous cooking, preparation, and social interaction. A cleverly concealed scullery adds a further layer of practicality, offering abundant storage and integrated appliances while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
The kitchen was reoriented to capture views of the alfresco and pool area, inviting natural light to pour through the home and creating a seamless connection between indoors and out. Formerly dated wet areas were reimagined with a more contemporary and luxurious layout, enhancing both function and flow.
Warm tonal layering, soft curves, and organic textures were woven throughout the interiors, complemented by a carefully curated selection of premium materials and finishes. The result is a timeless family home – elegant, welcoming, and designed to be cherished for many years to come.
